Frequently Asked Questions

Before reaching out, check if your question is answered below.

Can you recommend a credit card for my specific situation?

We publish detailed reviews and best-of guides for a wide range of use cases — rewards travel, cash back, balance transfer, business use, and more. We recommend starting with our credit card review library and our comparison guides. We are not able to provide personalized financial advice, as we are an editorial team, not licensed financial advisors.

I found an error in one of your articles. How do I report it?

We take accuracy seriously and appreciate when readers flag errors. Please email editorial@smartcardadvisor.com with the subject line "Correction Request," include the URL of the article, the specific information you believe is incorrect, and any supporting documentation (such as a link to the issuer's official terms). We aim to review and address corrections within 24 hours.

How do I unsubscribe from your newsletter?

Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. Click that link to be removed from our mailing list immediately. If you're having trouble unsubscribing, email us at hello@smartcardadvisor.com and we'll remove you manually within 48 hours.

I applied for a card through your link and have a problem with my account. Who should I contact?

Smart Card Advisor is an independent media company — we have no affiliation with card issuers beyond our affiliate referral relationship. For any issue with a credit card account (billing, disputes, account changes, etc.), please contact the card issuer directly. The customer service number is typically listed on the back of your card and on the issuer's website.

Can I suggest a credit card for you to review?

Absolutely. We welcome reader suggestions for cards to add to our review library. Send your suggestion to editorial@smartcardadvisor.com with the card name and issuer. We review all suggestions and prioritize based on reader interest and card market significance.

Are you hiring? Can I contribute an article?

We occasionally hire writers, analysts, and researchers. We also work with qualified freelance contributors on a project basis. If you have a background in personal finance, financial journalism, or credit analysis and are interested in contributing, email your CV or portfolio to editorial@smartcardadvisor.com with the subject line "Contributor Inquiry."

How do I advertise or partner with Smart Card Advisor?

We work with credit card issuers, financial technology companies, and select personal finance brands on affiliate partnerships. For advertising and partnership inquiries, please contact our partnerships team at partnerships@smartcardadvisor.com. Please note that advertising relationships do not influence our editorial content or card ratings.
